Expand Video Filters and Sorting Options

Currently, the dashboard only provides limited sorting options: Sort by: Name Sort by: Date While helpful, this becomes insufficient when managing a large number of recordings. Please consider adding more advanced filtering and sorting options to improve video organization and discoverability. Suggested enhancements include: Additional sorting options Upload date Newest to oldest Oldest to newest Filter by video type Meeting recordings Dadan screen recordings Improved filter structure Dedicated Filter and Sort sections Ability to combine filters (e.g., Meeting recordings + Newest first) Clear filter indicators and quick reset option Why this is important: Makes it easier to find recordings quickly Improves productivity for users with many videos Helps teams managing daily meeting recordings Reduces time spent scrolling through large libraries As Dadan usage grows, stronger filtering and sorting capabilities will become essential for maintaining an organized video workspace. Thank you for considering these improvements.

It would be very useful to add a Clone / Duplicate Video option within Dad

Currently, if users want to reuse a video for different purposes, they must re-record it or manually copy content. A built-in duplication feature would make it much easier to repurpose recordings. Proposed functionality: Add a “Clone” or “Duplicate” option in the video actions menu Create an exact copy of the selected video Duplicate should include: Video file Title and description Chapters or timestamps (if applicable) Allow the duplicated video to be renamed automatically (e.g., “Video name – Copy”) Use cases: Creating multiple versions of the same video for different clients or teams Editing one version without affecting the original Reusing a base recording for tutorials, demos, or onboarding flows Organizing content into different folders while keeping the original intact Benefits: Saves time by avoiding re-recording Improves content reusability Supports better collaboration workflows Aligns with standard functionality found in modern video platforms Adding a clone/duplicate option would significantly improve productivity for users who frequently reuse and customize video recordings. Thank you for considering this feature request.

Add Drag & Drop Video Upload to Folders

Currently, it’s not possible to drag and drop videos directly into folders within Dadan. This makes organizing recordings more time-consuming, especially when managing a large number of videos. It would be very helpful to add a drag-and-drop option that allows users to: Drag videos from the dashboard or local system Drop them directly into an existing folder Instantly move or upload videos without opening multiple menus Why this feature matters: Faster organization of recordings Improved usability for teams handling many videos More intuitive folder management Reduced clicks and manual steps Drag-and-drop behavior is a standard experience in modern file management tools, and adding it to Dadan would significantly improve workflow efficiency and overall user experience. Please consider adding this functionality to make video organization smoother and more user-friendly. Thank you!

Add Native Meeting Recording Option in Browser Extension and App

Currently, the Dadan browser extension only supports manual video recording. It would be very helpful to add a dedicated meeting recording option directly within both the browser extension and the desktop app. At the moment, users must open the Dadan dashboard and manually paste the meeting link in order to start a meeting recording. This creates unnecessary friction and slows down workflows, especially for users who join multiple meetings daily. Proposed improvement: Add a simple “Meeting Recording” option inside the extension and app that includes: A small form to paste the meeting link (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.) An optional meeting title input to easily identify recordings later Automatic triggering of the recording in the Dadan dashboard once submitted Clear status indication (recording scheduled / recording started) Benefits of this feature: Eliminates the need to open the dashboard separately Enables faster meeting capture with fewer steps Improves organization when handling multiple meeting recordings Creates a smoother, more intuitive user experience Encourages higher adoption of meeting recording features This enhancement would make Dadan feel more like a true all-in-one recording tool, allowing users to start meeting recordings directly from where they work—without switching tabs or performing manual setup steps. Thank you for considering this feature request.

Add Advanced Screenshot Capture to Browser Extension and Desktop App

It would be extremely valuable to add a built-in screenshot capture feature to both the Dadan browser extension and the desktop (Mac) application. Currently, many users rely on third-party tools to capture screenshots before or alongside screen recordings. Integrating screenshot functionality directly into Dadan would significantly streamline workflows and reduce tool switching. Suggested screenshot options include: Select area screenshot Full screen capture Capture multiple screens in a single image Scrolling full-page screenshots (for long webpages) For reference, tools like CleanShot provide an excellent example of how screenshot and screen recording features can work seamlessly together within one product. Adding similar capabilities to Dadan would: Improve creator and developer workflows Reduce dependency on external screenshot tools Make Dadan a more complete visual documentation solution Increase daily usage of the browser extension and Mac app This feature would complement Dadan’s existing recording capabilities and make it a stronger all-in-one tool for product demos, bug reporting, documentation, and team collaboration. Thank you for considering this enhancement.
